JRMC Auxiliary to Host Jewelry Sale

Join the JRMC Auxiliary as they host a jewelry sale on Tuesday, September 24th at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The sale will run from 7 am – 4 pm in the lower level conference room. All jewelry and accessories will be $5. Cash and debit/credit cards are accepted. The proceeds will benefit the JRMC Auxiliary.


JRMC Auxiliary to Host Tea


Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) Auxiliary will host the 10th annual Tea for All Seasons at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, September 11, from 2 to 4 pm. Tea, sandwiches and sweets will be served, along with a silent auction and door prizes. Tickets are $7.00 per person and can be purchased from any JRMC Auxiliary member or at the JRMC Gift Shoppe.

“Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward purchasing medication planners for JRMC Home Health clients,” stated Nancy Jo Johnston, volunteer coordinator at JRMC.

JRMC Gift Shoppe Open House

openHousePostewebrJoin us on Monday, May 6th for an open house at the JRMC Gift Shoppe located in near the main entrance of the hospital. Enjoy new items, gifts and food samples. All funds raised in the Gift Shoppe are donated back to JRMC.

Bring a non-perishable food item and your name will be placed in a drawing for door prizes. All donated goods will go to the Jamestown Food Bank.

JRMC Holds Volunteer Recognition Banquet

On Tuesday, April 24th we held our Volunteer Recognition Banquet in coordination with National Healthcare Volunteer Week.  JRMC thanks the many men and women who donate over 6,500 hours to JRMC a year. Each one of them that makes the difference in the lives of those we serve.
Shirley Flieth who was recognized as the 2012 Volunteer of the Year. Shirley donated over 500 hours to JRMC this past year. Congratulations!

JRMC Auxiliary Meets for April Meeting

The JRMC auxiliary held their monthly meeting on April 1 with Alice Williams presiding in president Carolyn Exner’s absence.

JRMC CEO Todd Hudspeth addressed the group announcing that a new foundation director had been hired. The VA will move into their new clinic space located in the Jamestown Clinic Building in late April.

The 25 members in attendance voted to pay $8,000 toward their $70,000 pledge to JRMC Foundation leaving a balance of $12,000.

The volunteer recognition dinner will be held on April 23.

A number of members will join delegates Sandy Hill and Linda Greer at the Hospital Auxiliary of North Dakota convention on May 16 in Mandan.

The gift shoppe is planning an open house for the public and hospital employees on May 6 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. to introduce new products acquired at market recently.  The open house will include tasting of food products available in the shoppe.

JRMC Auxiliary learns about new facility

2013_AuxilaryBoardJamestown Regional Medical Center Auxiliary met Jan. 7 at JRMC. The large group of members started the meeting and 40th anniversary month with history of the present organization that was organized on Jan. 15, 1973, with Dorothy Chouinard as its first president.

Todd Hudspeth, JRMC CEO, brought hospital updates: the new Jamestown clinic building, with tenants JRMC Clinic, Essentia Clinic and Meeting Grounds Too, is open on JRMC campus. Meeting Grounds Too offers coffee services to employees and guests, Monday through Friday. The auxiliary is providing volunteer help at the front desk in the JRMC Clinic.

Nancy Jo Johnston has joined JRMC as the new volunteer services and gift shop coordinator.

JRMC Auxiliary welcomed the 2013 officers: President Carolyn Exner, Vice President Marlys Perleberg and Treasurer Lue Struble — temporarily representing Marlene Axtman — and Secretary Carol Splonskowski.

Memberships are now due and new members are welcome.

JRMC Auxiliary to Host Holiday Magic

Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) Auxiliary will hold its annual Holiday Magic fundraiser Friday, November 9th, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, November 10th, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Items for sale will include ornaments, home and office décor, stocking stuffers and gifts for everyone on your list.

“Holiday Magic is our largest annual event that the Auxiliary holds every year and is a great time to start your Christmas shopping,” said Ginne Hendrickson, JRMC gift shoppe manager.

The Christmas bazaar will be located on the lower level of JRMC next to the cafeteria. All proceeds from the event will go towards the JRMC Auxiliary.

About the JRMC Auxiliary
JRMC Auxiliary was formed in 1973 by Dorothy Chouinard, who is still an active member. The 72 member Auxiliary provides services and support for the hospital through financial donations and volunteer services. The funds raised by the Auxiliary provide materials back to the hospital; these have included baby burp cloths, surgery pillows and grab bars.
