Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) will hold a Healing Arts Open house on Wednesday, September 12, from 5 to 7 pm. JRMC will provide tours throughout their state-of-the-art facility to explore the artwork.
JRMC was created to provide patients and visitors with a non-institutional environment that promotes overall health. Over 75 works of art were selected from regional artists and placed throughout the facility to provide an environment of healing. The artwork provides an emotional and spiritual impact on patients, friends and families.
“There is clear evidence that a patient’s physical wellbeing is fundamentally linked to their emotional and spiritual well-being,” stated Jan Barnes, JRMC Foundation director, “the expressive arts can play a decisive role in promoting overall health.”
Naming opportunities are still available in a variety of price ranges. Information on naming a piece of art will be available.
